Cooling Off

Yesterday we has one of our first Sydney summer days so we decided to go to the local pool to cool down. Chloe has only been swimming at the pool a few times but she loves it and has a lot of confidence in the water...sometimes too much.
While we were at the pool my sister Vienna and her family also arrived for a swim. Adalia brought her little floaty car which both the girls wanted to use so we solved the problem and put the in together. From looking at where the water comes to on the side of the floaty I don't think that they will be able to share it for very much longer.
The newest member of the family, Malachi, loves the water as much as the girls. He loved floating around and was quite content to stay there all afternoon however when his hands started to go purple his dad had to take him out.

Whenever our niece Adalia gets excited she shakes. I don't just mean a short little shake. Her whole body, and I mean whole body, shakes for extended periods of time like she is shivering. She has done it since she was young and as she has gotten older it has gotten worse. I must admit that it is quite cute now but I hope for her sake she grows out of it before she gets her first crush on a boy. Anyway at the pool they have a fountain in the baby pool which got her attention from the minute she got there. Vienna eventually let her sit in it and my goodness I don't think I have ever seen a child shake so much, it was like a little spa with the only thing stopping her being the water spray in her face.
It was nice to be able to have a swim when the weather is nice enough to make it enjoyable. We will have to squeeze in as many as we can before we move to Tassie where swimming in anything but an indoor heated pool is classified as an extreme sport.

Ha ha. Definitely not swimming weather down here right now. We are having the typical week before Christmas with cool weather. I'm sure tomorrow will be no different.
